Rias wajah perlu diaplikasikan dengan cara yang tepat agar tetap bertahan sepanjang hari. Inilah beberapa trik yang kerap digunakan para penata rias agar rias wajah yang mereka ciptakan tidak mudah hilang atau luntur.

1 Foundation
Foundation atau alas bedak adalah dasar dari semua rias wajah. Selain untuk meratakan warna kulit wajah, foundation juga menjadikan rias wajah tahan menempel lebih lama di wajah. Namun, foundation terutama dalam bentuk cair sering luntur sehingga menjadikan wajah nampak "belang".

Solusi:
Sesudah dibubuhkan diwajah, serap dengan kertas minyak hingga lapisan minyaknya terangkat. Cukup ditekan-tekankan ke wajah dan jangan digosok-gosokkan agar foundation-nya tidak ikut hilang. Sesudahnya, cepat-cepat bubuhkan bedak tabur dan baurkan.

Tips:
Menggunakan foundation dalam bentuk padat (compact foundation atau two way cake) bisa jadi pilihan karena lebih tahan lama dibanding foundation cair.

2. Eyeshadow
Ketka eyeshadow pudar maka tampilan mata akan terlihat sanat polos, tidak imbang dengan bagian wajah lainnya.

Solusi:
Untuk menjaga agar rias mata tidak mudah pudar, sebelum diulaskan di kelopak mata coba terlebih dahulu menggunakan foundation di kelopak mata.

Tips:
Pilih foundation yang tidak mengandung minyak (oil free).

3. Eyeliner
Rias yang menegaskan tampilan mata ini jika luntur akan membuat tampilan wajah sangat berantakan!

Solusi:
Sesudah menggunakan eyeliner (baik cair maupun eyeliner pensil) di garis kelopak mata, bubuhkanlah bedak tabur transparan. Caranya celupkan kuas kecil dalam bedak tabur tersebut dan sapukan di sepanjang eyeliner yang sudah dibubuhkan di garis kelopak mata.

Tips:
Jika ingin cara yang lebih praktis, pilihlah eyeliner dalam formula tahan air (waterproof) sehingga tidak mudah luntur oleh keringat.

4. Maskara
Maskara yang luntur selain membuat wajah berantakan juga terkadang sulit dibersuhkan tanpa menghapus rias wajah lainnya.

Solusi:
Sesudah membubuhkan maskara di bulu mata, bubuhkan bedak tabur diatasnya. Selain menjaga agar maskara tidak mudah luntur cara ini juga membuat bulu mata lebih tebal.

Tips:
Sebaiknya hindari menggunakan maskara di bulu mata kelopak bawah, karena begitu luntur akan langsung meleleh di pipi. Pilih formula tahan air (waterproof) agar tidak mudah luntur oleh panas dan lembapnya udara tropis. Nah, bila ingin yang paling praktis pilih maskara bening atau tanpa warna agar jika luntur tidak meninggalkan bekas.

5. Blush On
Rias wajah yang mampu memberikan kesan segar di wajah dalam waktu singkat ini memang mudah dibubuhkan. Tapi sayangnya juga mudah sekali pudar sehingga membuat rias wajah terlihat seperti kotor.

Solusi:
Menggunakan blush on dalam dua tekstur yang berbeda adalah jawabannya. Pertama gunakan dulu blush on dalam tekstur krim, baru disusul dengan blush on dalam bentuk padat. Blush on padat menyerap minyak dari blush on krim, dan ketika blush on padat mulai pudar masih ada lapisan bawahnya, yaitu blush on krim.

Tips:
Walau menggunakan dua blush on dalam tekstur yang berbeda, pastikan keduanya sama warnanya.

6. Lipstik
Seperti halnya blush on, rias yang satu ini sangat mudah dibubuhkan tapi juga sangat mudah pudar.

Solusi:
Gunakan lipstik dalam bentuk pensil (lipliner). Garisi seluruh bentuk bibir dan bubuhkan di bibir. Sesudahnya bubuhkan lipstik dalam warna yang sama dengan lipliner di bibir. Serap dengan kertas tisu, kemudian bubuhkan lisptik lagi.

Tips:
Jika Anda enggan menyerap lipstik dengan tisu karena takut bublu-bulu di kertas tisu menempel di bibir, tempelkan punggung tangan pada bibir, baru ulaskan lipstik lagi. Sesudahnya, coba gulirkan es batu di bibir yang baru dipulas lipstik tersebut.

7. Cat Kuku
Cat kuku yang mulai pudar ataupun cacat akan merusak penampilan Anda.

Solusi:
Sebelum menggunakan cat kuku gunakan lapisan dasar (base coat) yang mampu melapisi kuku sehingga pigmen warna melekat sempurna. Menggunakan base coat juga melindungi kuku dari kontak langsung dengan cat kuku sehingga tidak mudah rapuh dan berubah kusam.

Tips:
Sesudah mewarnai kuku celupkan dalam air dingin atau air es selama beberapa detik agar kering atau mengeras. Bubuhkan lapisan atas (top coat) agar tidak mudah cacat atau mengelupas.

Agar Rias Wajah Bertahan Lama
1. Sebelum menggunakan rias, gunakan lotion penyerap minyak pada wajah.
2. Pilih rias yang tidak mengandung minyak.
3. Pilih rias yang dibuat agar tahan lama. Umumnya ditandai dengan kata 'long wearing' atau 'long lasting'.
